Program Coordinator Job Opportunity at Penn


The Wolf Humanities Center and the Price Lab for Digital Humanities at the University of Pennsylvania are hiring a self starter to work closely with the administrators and faculty directors of both centers.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Help plan and execute printed and digital publicity; to include designing posters, flyers, and e-blasts; editing websites; generating social media posts; and writing promotional copy. 
  • Coordinate programs and events; to include managing all logistical arrangements for public events, seminars, meetings, travel, catering, venue bookings, and set-up. 
  • Staff all events; to include ensuring proper setup and cleanup, registration, and guest management. 
  • Process and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and contracts; to include managing research funds, expense reports, honoraria, reimbursements, entertainment, supplies, and equipment. 
  • Schedule internal space bookings; manage multiple mailing lists; order supplies; serve as point of contact for visitors and online inquiries; perform other duties as necessary.

High School degree and 5 to 7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. BA/BS and 3-5 years of experience in administration, event planning, graphic design, and arts & culture promotion strongly preferred. Must have strong skills in graphic and media design as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop. Experience with Drupal, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects preferred. Knowledge of ASL a plus. Must work collaboratively with others, independently as necessary, and strategically with senior leadership on a wide variety of projects and programs. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
